GoAir to start more flights
MUMBAI: 1 November, 2007: Private carrier GoAir is inducting additional flights in its existing network to attract more fliers during the festive season.
GoAir would double its flight operations from month-end, the airline said in a statement. Increase of additional flights would mean that GoAir would have 561 commercial flights per week against 259 now.
In September, the airline recorded a 81 per cent load factor, which is in tune with the 80 per cent plus load factor that it is witnessing in the past few months.
During the second quarter of this financial year, GoAir's passenger traffic volume increased by 123 per cent, it said. In the first quarter, the airline recorded 93 per cent growth in passenger traffic growth, the release added.

GoAir to launch Delhi-Mumbai flights

Budget carrier GoAir has announced plans to launch daily flights, which will connect Delhi to Mumbai and Chennai.
It has also added a new plane in its fleet of A320 aircraft. This will be used to carry the Indian and English cricket teams during the ongoing ODI series.
The carrier has also that it would offer concessions on its tickets to customers, who succeed in getting a ticket from a rival airline that is cheaper than its own on the same sector.
The airline would also reimburse the cost of immediate cancellation of its competitor's tickets.
This was announced by GoAir Managing Director Jeh Wadia at a press conference.
Announcing its expansion plan, he said GoAir, which currently has three aircraft in its fleet, would add five more by the year-end, another ten next year and another 15 in 2008, taking the total fleet strength to 33 in three years.
