Brittany Murphy Detailed Biography
Brittany was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and her parents were divorced when she was very young. She moved to New Jersey at a young age to persue acting across the river in New York. She did theatre productions off Broadway to make enough money to move to California and attempt to get into big production films. When she arrived in Hollywood she began acting in short-run television shows and got her big break in the film Clueless.
She has also been in a whole slew of films in the last few years but it is her work in Mike Judge's King of the Hill as the character Luanne Platter that has gotten her the most consecutive work and attention. Brittany is the type of women most teenage women identify with, just the average cute lovable teen.
Brittany Murphy, the star of "Uptown Girls," is continuing to emerge as one of Hollywood's most sought after and engaging young actresses. She was most recently seen in the hit romantic comedy "Just Married." Prior to that she was featured in "8 Mile" and the ensemble film "Spun."
Murphy first gained national attention from her role as Tai Frasier in the box office smash "Clueless." From there, Murphy went on to star in such films as "Girl, Interrupted," "Sidewalks of New York," "Riding in Cars with Boys," "Don't Say a Word," "Summer Catch," "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Cherry Falls."
